The Dry
- 200 g sugar
- 155 g all-purpose flour
- 50 g cocoa powder sifted
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
The Wet
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 cup warm water
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 tsp. white vinegar
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
The Frosting
- 250 g powdered sugar sifted
- 85 g unsalted butter at room temperature
- 3 Tbsp. hot water
- 12 g cocoa powder sifted
The Topping
- dark chocolate gratted

Instructions
The Preparation
- Gather the ingredients and, with the rack in the middle position, preheat the oven at 350℉.
The Mixing
- In a mixing bowl, combine the 200 g sugar, sifted 155 g all-purpose flour, sifted 50 g cocoa powder, 1 tsp. baking powder and 1/4 tsp. salt. Set aside.
- In another large mixing bowl, combine the 2 eggs, 3/4 cup warm water, 1/2 cup vegetable oil, 2 tsp. white vinegar and 1 tsp. vanilla extract with a whisk. Add the dry ingredients and stir until the batter is smooth.
The Baking
- Spoon batter into lined muffin pan, filling almost to the top.
- Bake at 350℉ for 20 minutes or until the top springs back when lightly touched.
The Frosting
- In a mixing bowl, beat together sifted 250 g powdered sugar, 85 g unsalted butter, 3 Tbsp. hot water and sifted 12 g cocoa powder with an electric mixer until the frosting is smooth. With a spreading knife, frost the cooled cupcakes.
